Puppy Socialisation

My puppies are bred in my home and brought up as part of the family.   When the puppies go to their new home I want them to be well socialised with their basic training already in place to provide a firm foundation for their life with their new family. To this end I follow the Puppy Culture Socialisation Programme to ensure that they are:

• socialised with other dogs, adults and children
• taken for regular car rides with their mum from 5 weeks old
• played playlist of "scary" noises such as fireworks and thunder
• introduced to the "be quick" command so they will wee or defecate when asked
• introduced to a recall command/whistle
• introduced to being groomed
• clicker trained
• introduced to scent work
• introduced to new and exciting objects and environments in a controlled, non threatening way
• conditioned to a crate
